At a rally today in Pennsylvania, former President Donald Trump was the target of what looks to be an assassination attempt.
This is potentially the darkest day of this election cycle. Political violence has no place in a functional democracy.
Reports at this point are that former President Trump is “fine.” I am thankful that he had immediate response from the Secret Service and was able to get medical care quickly.
My heart goes out to the families of those who lost their lives in this incident. To the bystanders who were physically injured, and to those who are now emotionally scarred from being witness to this incident, I am praying for you.
