Susan Merrill elected to State Party Leadership!

It’s with great excitement that we announce Susan Merrill is our new state vice chair! She traveled to every county listening to democrats state wide on their concerns and hopes for the future. Utah spoke, and voted for one of our own! Congratulations Susan!

A note from Susan:

I am completely blown away. Thank you for the trust that you’ve placed in me to be your next Vice Chair. I have spent the last 2 months traveling around the state, hearing stories about what is important to Utahns in every area. I have tried new (to me) restaurants, seen the many different colors of rock formations in this stunning state, and heard the most uplifting and the most heartbreaking stories.

Since the beginning, I have stated that I would listen and amplify the voices of Utah to the state and national levels. I pledge to you that I will do just that.
My name is Susan Merrill. I am from Cedar City. I am a lifelong educator, a proud union member, and I am truly, completely honored to be your new Vice Chair of the Democratic Party.

I will do everything I can to live up to the trust you’ve placed in me. (On Monday. Tomorrow, I nap.)
